Heretic (2024)

Two young religious women are drawn into a game of cat-and-mouse in the house of a strange man.

Not as clever as it pretends to be. It's actually pretty unoriginal and, in my opinion, a waste of time. If you're hoping for a good thriller with a strong horror element, you'll be disappointed; there aren't any "jump" scares. And if you're looking for something intelligent that will engage your mind, I'm afraid this will also disappoint. It doesn't raise any interesting points. I found the trailer misleading – it promises a lot, but the best bits are already in it.

If you want to watch a good thriller that will also engage your brain, I highly recommend 'Andhadhun'. It's about a pianist pretending to be blind whose life is changed by a series of mysterious events; he must now report a crime that he technically shouldn't know anything about. Watch that and save your money on this one.
