I came across this series on Channel 4 in the UK during the height of the lockdown era, and WOW, what a great find! This series is literally perfection from start to finish. It is a masterclass in how to write, direct, and act in a good show, proving that you don’t need gratuitous sex scenes, nudity, or violence to achieve greatness. It is simply brilliant.

The cast features some of the finest actors, all perfectly suited to their roles. This show is not a waste of time at all. If you’re going to watch one good series this year, make it this one.

Are there any other shows like this one that I should watch? It doesn’t have to be set in the South; I just want to watch something with great writing.

I am currently watching the sequel to this series called Justified: City Primeval, and I will write a review in due course. I recommend watching Justified first before attempting the sequel.
