Rivals (2024 - )
Follows Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Baddingham as they have a longstanding rivalry that comes to a head.
In the beginning, it came across as a good satire, but after a few episodes, it just gets repetitive, as if they want to drag the story on so they could have another season or two. The characters are mostly shallow, with lots of sex scenes thrown in as fillers rather than moving the story forward. It really didn't need to be eight episodes and could have been a mini-series with 4-5 episodes. If shallow and tacky people stabbing one another in the back all the time is your idea of entertainment, then go for it, but if you want to spend your time wisely, perhaps this may be a waste of time.
Also the casting is weird because Aidan Turner's character 'Declan' doesn't look old enough to be the father of Bella Maclean's character 'Taggie'.
The soundtrack is pretty good though.
